RESEARCH PHILOSOPHY
The quality of a secret shop is determined by the quality of the shopper
and his/her ability to execute appropriate direction in the retail environment. Oasis
Research does not accept new shoppers on the phone or through this web
site. We go beyond demographics. Shoppers are searched, questioned,
and only fit the grade if they are the current customers of our clients. This
avoids uninterested and “money-minded only” shoppers.
Each retail outlet is unique. There are customers also unique to
that particular store unit. Shoppers that are current customers provide
credibility with Management that the feedback is real, insightful, intelligent
and actionable. Why would a client ever make changes from a shopper
that isn’t their target market? This extra effort in finding
the right people who are familiar with the client’s products creates
a more meaningful and useful research product.
LAUREN KOMISHANE BIO
Lauren Komishane is the President and founder of Oasis Research. Ms.
Komishane has a B.A. from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia University. Her
work experience includes Account Management at Grey Advertising and Brand
Management at Warner-Lambert, Coca-Cola USA, and Bertucci’s Restaurants. Oasis
Research was founded in 1998.
